Help with cot/bedside cot

Hi everyone. FTM here… I’m really struggling with what to buy for baby. LO was born 6 weeks premature. She is currently 8 weeks old and in a Moses basket- not overly impressed with the mattress and had to buy a more sturdy one from Amazon which does the job for now. LO is ok in the Moses basket but sometimes just wants to be held so I use a fabric sling.

I’ve been to a local baby store and they were recommending the Joie Glide bedside cot, which I liked because of the rocking feature. I’ve also heard the Chicco Next 2 Me Magic is good. Both seem fairly similar to me.. I have read a review for the Joie that babies can ‘get stuck’ between the mattress and edge of the cot.

I have also considered the Chicco Next 2 Me Forever and the Tutti Bambini Cozee XL. The Cozee XL isn’t available for 6-8 weeks but looks more sturdy.

Can anyone help at all? My LO is on the 9th centile for her height which is corrected as she is was born early.

Ideally, I’d rather have less products to buy if possible.

Some people say that really young babies don't like to sleep in a big space, but that wasn't the experience for my two - I just got a normal ikea cot and sidecarred it to the bed. Effectively co-sleeping, but baby has their own mattress and sleeping space. This then turned into a toddler bed, before we moved my then 2 year old into a full size single bed to use the cot for my youngest.

For sidecarring - you can see plenty of hacks online, but for us it was just cot against the wall, one side off and bed against the cot, towels rolled up and put down the side so the two mattresses are tight up against each other.

Thank you @RainbowUtensils I’ll take a look. My LO does like to be snug. I swaddle her and she hasn’t liked her sleeping bag much. She used to have a ‘nest’ made for her whilst at the hospital in Neo natal and I sometimes emulate this at home during the day which helps her settle

Snuzpod! They are not huge so perfect for smaller babies compared to a big cot.
