Hi all
Looking for advice on how to get my 8 month old to accept my partner doing bedtime!
We have a set bedtime routine - bath, pjs, sleeping bag, story, bottle, following which she usually nurses or is rocked to sleep. My partner works long hours so it naturally falls to me to do bedtime as I'm still on mat leave - but now even if he is home early DD will not accept him putting her to bed at all! He can do every step of the routine up to the bottle stage, at which point she absolutely screams the place down, it's like she suddenly realises its bedtime and gets really upset that I'm not there. She absolutely loves him any other time but come 7pm it's game over.
Does anyone have any tips on how we might be able to get her to accept him putting her down? And no we haven't sleep trained her yet in case that makes a difference - not quite ready to do so yet!
