TO EVERYONE WHOSE 6/7mo HAS STARTED WAKING AT NIGHT....

Hi all,

I previously started a thread because my 6.5mo - who previously slept from 8pm - 5am from 6 weeks ols - had started waking twice during the night...

I got loads of advice from MN inc diluting feeds etc....

I went and got DD weighed this week and her weight gain had slowed since she started on 3 meals a day which coinicided roughly with her waking up....

The HV advised me to start giving her a bottle again at lunch instead of food so she got the extra 8 oz of milk she was drinking at night during the day....

AMAZINGLY - the first night I tried it , my DD slept through and didnt wake for a feed at 2am.

The HV did mention that if my DDs weight gain had been consistent then she would have advised giving her water only at night.

Just wanted to put this out there as before seeing the HV, I was going to only give my DD water thinking this was the thing to do based on advice I picked up from here. In fact, I would have been depriving my poor DD of calories she needed!

Not at all a criticism of MN at all, just saying that it may be worth speaking to the NV and getting personal advice...
