Daytime nap challenge

My 5 month old sleeps really well at night in her cot (last night she slept through from 10pm to 7am) but daytime sleep is another story... I seem to have accidentally created a really strong sleep association between feeding and sleeping. I just tried feeding her in the living room before her nap and she fell asleep anyway, on me. If I don't feed her before sleep, she cries and cries and won't settle. If I try and put her down in the cot, she cries. I don't know how to start disassociating the two and to have some successful daytime naps again. Has anyone had similar challenges?

I think that they stop the feeding to sleep thing usually by themselves. Are you happy for her to nap on you?

If not, I'd change her, feed her and then take her out for a walk for at least one of the naps.

You might have some success if you put her to sleep somewhere other than her cot.

You haven't accidentally caused a relationship between feeding and sleeping. Biology deliberately did. Feeding to sleep is biologically normal and healthy for infants.
