Another regression or what?!

11 month old is back to waking up frequently again 😑😑😑

We have spells of him sleeping through 12 hours.

Funnily enough he even did it again randomly on Xmas eve and DH and I woke up on Xmas day absolutely refreshed and couldn't believe it! He did 7pm - 6.45am.

Every night is SO different and I can't suss out what I'm doing wrong here.

I need it to get better. I'm exhausted ☹️

Regressions don't stop.

Yep same here. I had one night where he slept through 8-7am but that’s the best I have had in his life and it happened once. Literally did nothing different. Now back to regular wakings a night, last night was nearly every 2 hours. I keep thinking I would happily go back to the one night waking or even 2, doesn’t have to be sleeping through all night!

his schedule hasn’t changed either, if anything he seems to be cranky/tired more so than before coming to the end of his wake windows. I just don’t know where to go with it, unsure whether needs to go down to 1 nap but I don’t know how I would do that

@Crumbles443 how old is your little one?
I have been tweaking my LO's routine here and there but it's making no difference at all at the moment. Usually when night wakings start again, I tend to extend his wake windows and it sorts it right out. But not having any luck this time around ☹️

He’s coming up to 11 months in 2 weeks.

im the same re schedule except I wouldn’t say it works for us, I think a lot of the time it’s a phase or teething etc. I wish if I extend wake windows it would work but doesn’t seem to. He just gets cranky but maybe I should distract much more for a few days to let it settle. I think we will be due to drop to one nap soon though and I know from when we went 3-2 naps it took weeks to settle with many night wakings 😩 I’m dreading that transition! What wake windows are you following? We’re on 3/3.75/4 ish with naps around an hour. He would sleep longer but I tried that and he was up even more at night!

My LO is 11 months tomorrow!
Roughly speaking, wake windows are around 3/3.5/4ish (sometimes 4.5) before bed.

Naps vary! I try and cap the morning nap to 30ish mins (given this will be the one that gets dropped next) and it means he has a much better afternoon nap.

Is your LO crawling? My son is starting to learn now (a bit later than DS1 did!) and so I'm wondering if his night wakings are due to the developmental changes he's going through and the dreaded crawling regression. I'm hoping that once he cracks it, which looks like it could be in the next week or so, he will tire himself out and go back to sleeping 12 hours!!

Yeah we’re on similar wake windows except I cap at 1 hour each. I tried one at 1.5 hours and he was up all night. yeah he’s crawling now but I can’t say for us ig meant he slept all night when he finally did it. Spent about 6 weeks rocking backwards and forwards and going backwards first.

today he fought his second nap and only had 30 mins but I read online nap fighting at this age is typical. I might copy you though and start capping morning nap and longer afternoon one to make up for it
