My DS has just gone to sleep at 11am, 5 had been limiting his morning sleep in the hopes he'd have a longer but earlier afternoon one and he might sleep past 5.30am. Is this sleep late enough to be the one of the day, which might have positive effect on morning waking, or should i wake him after 40 mins as I have been?

what age is your lo? My lo has a nap from around 12.15pm and it is his main nap of the day (has been since around 13/14months). He can sleep for anywhere between 1 1/2 to 3 hours. Why not leave your lo be and see how long he sleeps for? He cant sleep earlier than 12pm as I have the nursery run at 11.30am for dd and he would probably go to sleep around 11/11.30am

He's only nearly 10 months but doesn't seem to need much sleep
