6yo still sleeping in my bed

When did your child stop sleeping in your bed???

My son, 6, has always been a fantastic sleeper since he was a baby. Literally no issues. And he never slept in our bed or cared to.

But then, at age 3 out of the blue, he started getting up during the night and coming in beside us.

And now, at age 6, it's still happening.

I will say that it doesn't particularly bother me. He's not disruptive and doesn't even wake my husband or I - we literally just wake up in the morning and he's there. Everyday. School days, weekends. Every day.

Goes to his own bed fine. Loves going to bed. No issues with his bed or his bedroom.

I swear I don't think he even realises he's doing it.

I only worry about it as he's getting older. I don't want him being picked on for being older and still sleeping with Mummy and Daddy!

If it's not bothering yours and DH's sleep, I would let him do it.

I think leave it. If it does wake you up, you can gently walk them back.
Haha. My 6 y/o gets in sometimes….i wake up thinking hmm is that a foot in my back 😂

My youngest is 7 and still sleeps with us. We've tried everything in the past and have now accepted this is where he feels content, so we're enjoying having him snuggled up with us knowing it won't last! We have older children and trust me, these younger years are so precious, just cuddle up and enjoy.

Enjoy! My son used to do this all the time, they are like little ninjas the way they can sneak in our beds and make themselves at home like they own the place 😂 then one day they start naturally just sleeping through in their own beds and our babies are babies no more 😐

If you're all getting a good night sleep then enjoy it, I have stopped co sleeping with my 11 year old and 10 year old recently purely because the bed wasn't big enough for us and I miss it

How's anyone else going to know?
