Help with self settling

My almost 5 month old has now managed to fall asleep while being gently rocked in her bouncer, not ideal as really should be moved to flat surface as not the safest sleeping in a bouncer chair but this is an big improvement on only being fed to sleep which was my reality for almost 5 months. This is obviously just for day time naps and I do transfer her once asleep but has anyone managed to find a solution to self settling if baby likes to be rocked or bounced to getting them to settle and sleep in their cot? If I could rock her cot I would but I can’t 😂

You could attempt a transition to something else such as rocking until drowsy, put down in cot and then shhh whilst patting baby and eventually you'll be able to do the shhh and patting without rocking until drowsy.

There's also the pick up put down method which may help.

@SouthLondonMum22 thank you. I think I’m just being over cautious as this is so much better than feeding to sleep then me holding her for the full nap. But I will try rocking until drowsy then transfer. I have tried pick up put down before and didn’t work but no harm trying again now that she’s a bit older.
