I'm trying to only buy what's really necessary, but am being lured in by sheepskins. His travel cot mattress is not comfortable and I wouldn't be put out if he slept even better in his own cot to boot. Are they just well worth the money (I know they're not even that expensive..)?

I think they're great. And they look good, and can be used as a rug later. I recently bought one after holding off for several months. I'm sure it helped with ds transition from carrycot to crib and I'm hoping taking it with me on holiday will ease his transition to travel cot! My dp usually tells me I buy rubbish but even he likes the lambskin..

yes that's true, it will be around for a while won't it. and he is yet to sleep in his travel cot so it may make that easier. right, i'm sold, thank you!!

have read somewhere that sleeping on sheepskin increases risk of SIDS.
wouldn't use it in a cot at all.
nice for making the buggy extra comfy though
