Baby Houdini can escape all sleepwear!

When she was newborn my daughter escaped swaddles so we put her in sleeping bags, then as she got old she unzipped herself from sleeping bags so we put them back to front.
Around 13 months she managed, god knows how, to escape. So we moved to one with shoulder poppers only. She got out of that.

So at 16 months we tried a duvet, she hated it, kicked it off and would wake if we put it on her after she was asleep. So we tried a togged sleepsuit with popper on the front. She has now at 18 months learnt to escape that! I can't put this back to front because theres not enough fabric for her bum.

Tried the duvet again for a few nights and she's not having any of it and just getting so cold!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! She's definitely not too hot, our house isn't particularly warm. We've been trying to introduce the duvet and having blankets on us for months now. She love being 'cosy' under them downstairs but hates them in her cot.

I would just add layers to her. Extra cardigans, two pairs of leggings etc. Maybe then try a sheet and blanket on top, to give her some coverage, but just ensure she has layers below her bedding.

Is she waking up cold or are you just worried that she will?

What tog duvet are you attempting to use?

Grobags brand just have zips and no poppers which my little one can't escape just yet (she went through a phase of escaping her sleeping bag)

I had one of these - I ended up zipping her in a back to front grobag and then using a nappy pin to fasten the end of the zip to the back so she couldn't undo it. That worked but be careful what you wish for because she then diverted her efforts to escaping her cot. (They say a child in a grobag can't get out of the cot because they can't straddle but she worked out she could swing herself up to lie along the cot rail and then swing herself down onto the floor.... )
