i really hope i get some responses as im desperate to find a solution.
My 9+ months old baby girl keeps bumping her head on the wooden slabs if her cot in the middle of the night when she wakes up and straight away turn on her knees then try to sit and then bang!! To the front or to the side or backwards. Most of the times its not a major bump but every few days she does one that makes her cry and i feel horrible for that as im worried she might be hurting herself.
I really have a few options here and none of them is ideal.
- We have to nuna travel cot which the mattress is not flat at all. It doesn’t seem to fit in its place which makes it bendy upwards from the top side and the bottom side. Also its very low like all of them and i can’t put her safely when she’s asleep. I am thinking bespoke mattress but not sure it will solve these 2 issues. I would really appreciate if anyone can recommend a good company that does bespoke mattresses.
- cot bumpers is the second option, i know they r not considered safe even though i m not very convinced but it does makes me anxious using them against the advice. But i might have to because i also cannot let her keep bumping her head
- The chicco next to me forever. That’s also an option but really expensive.for the people who used it, how was your experience? is it worth to get it at this age or basically as soon as she starts standing it will be dangerous? They do say its for up to 4 years. Not convinced with that as i think its small. Especially she s on the 91 th percentile in height.
I would really appreciate your opinions on this as i need to find a quick solution for her and for my constant worry about her.
