This is not a humble brag, I know how triggering this sort of post can be, my first DC was EBF for 2 years and woke every 45 minutes for a feed for 10 months, up every 2 hours until 14 months and only starting sleeping 5 hours + from 18 months. DC1 was a massive bottle refuser and I sank into deep PND for 18 months, so I know how awful sleep deprivation can be.
The reason for writing this post is I’m concerned about whether I should be dream feeding/waking my 8 week old. I’ve obviously never experienced this sort of sleep and my friends who bf babies were up every 2-5 hours at this point - none slept through. DC2 is 12lb 4oz and has gradually been sleeping more during the night. This last week it has been 10 hours. When she wakes her nappy isn’t very heavy, but her nappies through the day are. She’s gaining weight along her percentile line. She is breastfed bar one small bottle a day, where she only takes 100ml, as I want her to stay used to a bottle/formula. She takes this randomly during the day (sometimes at 10am, sometimes at 6pm). I’m concerned about my supply, but also concerned about waking her and disrupting her sleep.
