Stretching a very short first wake window

Morning all, my almost 1 year old really really struggles in the mornings which I know is somewhat normal.

We have not long switched to a 2 nap day and managed to get on a wonderful schedule of a very regular bedtime of 6pm. Obviously bedtime was so early whilst adjusting to a 2 nap schedule however since bedtime has been pushed back to 7/7.30 pm, wake up time has gotten later and is making our 2 nap schedule very awkward.

The only way I can figure out how to fix it is dropping to 1 nap by pushing the first wake window and switching between 1 and 2 nap days depending on wake up.

But how on earth do I stretch out the first wake window?! I’m pushing it to 2.5hrs but she’s already struggling by 2 hours. If I take her outside (and it’s currently minus temperatures at the moment which doesn’t help) she gets very upset. We play, we read books, we sing songs but by 2.5hrs she’s so completely done. Any suggestions?!

Just let her sleep! Don't try and keep her awake. She's a baby.

Can you go into a bit more detail about why the later bedtime makes the 2 nap schedule awkward for you? Is it the timings or length of naps or something else?
