What tog rating should my toddler's duvet be?

My 2 year old sleeps in a sleepsack but now that it's getting so cold I'm thinking of buying her a duvet instead of a thicker sleepsack; since I'll probably be transitioning her to a toddler bed soon.
What tog rating are your little ones sleeping in? I've done a little googling and can't work out the line between warm enough and overheating, and think I've stressed myself out - so I thought it'd be easier to hear what other parents are doing right now!

Thanks in advance (and any tips on the big transition would be much appreciated, if you have any😭)

For a toddler bed a maximum of 4.5tog is recommended. If it's a single bed you can go up to 10.5tog or somewhere in between

We’ve just got a summer duvet on DD. Then we can put on long or short sleeved PJ’s, add a layer or two in blankets if needs bed.
Stop stressing, your child will wake up if they’re cold, I think it’s easier and safer just to pop an extra blanket on as needed.

Lower than you think. I remember buying dc1 a 10 tog duvet thinking that was what I had and then nearly cooking her with it. 4 tog is plenty for little ones.

My 2.5 year old has a toddler duvet and it’s a 4 tog. He’s always nice and warm but obviously with it getting colder I can always put thicker PJ’s on him
