Can't sleep at night with my 4 month old

My 4 month old sleep 7-9 hours a night, but I'm lucky if I sleep 2. I have no problem going to sleep but wake up and can't get back to sleep. I sleep fine in the other bedroom and slept 6-7 hours a night before he slept straight through

I've tried teas, herbal sleeping aids, white noise, podcasts etc

Has anyone else experienced this or has any tips

Were you always like this or has your sleep pattern changed since you had your baby. I couldn’t sleep well with my baby in same room, every time he moved I woke up and stayed awake. I put him in his own room and slept much better as I only heard him once he woke up.

I've always been a light sleeper but this sleep pattern has only kicked in the last 5 weeks. Sleep was broken before but I was able to go back to sleep and sleep in bigger chunks

I've started thinking about moving him in to his own room

My wife had this exact same issue. At 5 months we transitioned our son to his own room and that helped us.

Thank you. I feel a bit more normal now
