Floor bed and memory foam mattress?

My 12 month old only co sleeps. I'm wondering if a single floor bed and memory foam mattress would be suitable for him?

Can't be toddler size bed because my step daughter would use it occasionally.

Duvet would be toddler size .

Well my 14mo has been in a single size small cabin bed with hybrid mattress since 10mo so a floor bed would be fine😀

Did you have issues with them falling out? It's a box room so I can't put the bed in the middle of the room. I'm contemplating the bed bumpers

I had a bed guard for my youngest but then got a set where the duvet zips on to the bottom sheet, and the pillow case is attached to the bottom sheet too, the Gro Company I think

Well it's in the corner so just bolted cot side to top and brought an extra high bed guard. He's an avid climber but hasn't got out of it yet😆

My daughter, 9 months, has been on a mattress on slats only since 6 months. It's a double sized foam mattress (firm not memory). I put pool noodles under the sheet and mattress protector on both sides to stop her accidentally rolling out. Nothing on the end so she can roam if she wants.

It works perfectly for us. We co-sleep some of the time too.
