12m bf waking hourly

Hi all.

12m - bf - Co-sleep and good sleeper.

Sometimes 1/2 feeds a night but not really a feed just comfort and in recent weeks doing 12 hour stretches.

Bit of background too - she’s just started nursery and all of a sudden she’s crying herself awake and feeding - what feels like hourly 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m inclined to think this is wrapped up in separation anxiety and enjoying the boob because I’m there and she’s thrilled she can have it. (I barely feed her in the day and she takes water to nursery)

Any other 12m faced this? Is it a growth spurt or just settling in to being away from me?

Any advice would be appreciated 😘

Hi!
My baby is literally the same as you
Cosleep, wakes a couple of times to feed
Started nursery and woke up every 30 mins/ hour last night
Must be the separation!

I would suggest this is linked to not enough daytime sleep while at nursery

Mamato29192 · 11/11/2023 20:44

What's sleep like during the day?

DaisyChain16 · 11/11/2023 21:21

Totally normal. Am at the same stage with my 2nd DD and wondering when her sleep will settle down again. Doesn't help that it's illness season either!

Mine has a 1.5 hr lunchtime nap at nursery
Perhaps it will just ease once he settles in

Thanks so much for your responses.

Even just knowing I’m not alone helps.

On that Friday she slept well in the day 2.5hrs-ish across two naps.

Yeah you’re right @DaisyChain16 - we were up at 2am last night with a sickness bug - Yayyy?! 😭

Hope she's feeling a bit better today Flowers

Awww thank you. Bit up and down to be honest 😏You think they’re better so you try some dry toast and then you’re back to square 1 xx
