Bed-sharing/co-sleeping query

So we got into this habit where my husband sleeps in the same bed as our two year old.
He's slept so much better ever since for having his dad there to snuggle with. This has now been going on almost a year.

However, I'm now conscious that we have created a bad habit and he now relies on a parent being there with him to sleep.
Any bed-sharers of older toddlers - did you stop because of this, and what age?
Or is this okay? If it works for us, does it do any harm to continue? Perhaps review the situation when he's three? Later?
Thanks!

Awww just enjoy the snuggles and don’t worry about it. They’re only little for such a short amount of time. My eight year old went into his own room by choice at four, my five year old still sleeps with me but I love it.

another one saying for him to enjoy the snuggles! I bedshare with my 3yo and 1yo. mostly love it, find it very convenient, and they seem to like it too! if it's working for your family then there's no need to change it 😊

So I had the most horrific sleep experience with my first who just did not sleep.

We now have a situation where she is four, and sleeps with me, sibling two, often does as well, and older siblings five, sometimes do but sleep together on the whole.

I do start the night with the kids going down before me, except on a special occasion, sometimes they do, sometimes it's a battle, but really, they do need to now be down earlier than me for school.

I don't worry about what experts say anymore, nothing helped me in that first year with third.

I think whatever gets a household a good rest and a happy home is great.
