My 10 week old baby will only contact nap and can't get comfortable enough for a decent nap during the day. Only napping 30 mins at most. Then come 4pm gets very fussy and cluster feeds/screams on and off until sleeping about 7/8pm. Then he sleeps until 12am. He's breastfed and co sleep because he won't go into his cot.

This all Started because his bad farts kept waking him up when he slept on his back and now he won't be put down during the day or sleep on his back at night.

My DH takes a shift from 8pm until 12.30am. During this time he mainly sleeps swaddled in his moses basket in the living room. DH sits up with him, while I get my only uninterrupted sleep. Then I sit up from 12.30.

I want to think about a different routine as we move forward. How do I do this? Will it be easier after the fourth trimester? How much longer can he stay in his basket?

He can stay in his Moses basket as long as he fits, usually 3-5 months.

Could you maybe try putting him down on his side and then gently turning him when he's fast asleep?

As part of his bedtime routine could you introduce massage / leg exercises to help him shift any wind before sleep?

It won't be like this forever x
