Dummy help.

I'm being driven insane - my nine month old is waking all throughout the night. We're talking 10 wake ups in all probability and I suspect it's related to the dummy. He wakes up crying when it's not in his mouth and then when I pop it back in, he goes back to sleep. I end up pulling him into my bed as it's easier.

He's exclusively breastfed and I just feel so trapped right now. Do they eventually learn to put the dummy back in themselves? Is there a way to wean them off the dummy without having them scream and cry for a few days? I hate that idea but maybe it's the only solution.

Has anyone been through this and did weaning help or did it resolve itself?

I'm due to start work next month and I'm losing my mind with sleep deprivation xx

At that age I left about 5 dummies in my daughter's cot and she found one eventually. Once I even found her asleep with two dummies in her mouth! Are you sure it's not a case of him just not finding it?
