How to do 2 to 1 nap with 5.30am wake up?

I think my 15 month is ready for one nap. In the last month or so the following things have started gradually happening:

Frequent wakes
Fighting one or both naps at normal nap times
Short naps
and now he’s started waking at 5.30am when he used to always wake between 6.30-7am

But how do I do that when he wakes at 5.30am?? Some days it’s been 5am.

On a couple of occasions I’ve tried one nap during the last couple of months, if I’ve pushed him too far he then only sleeps one 30 min sleep cycle. So just pushing him until 11am will be 5.5 hours awake. He normally does 3.5 hours awake on a morning Also he’s never been a chap to sleep for 2 hours in the day so I think I’ll be lucky if he sleeps for 1.5 hours. The longest nap he normally does is 1.25 hours. So even if I aimed for 11am, he then might be awake by 12.30pm and if I did a 6.30pm bedtime (he normally goes at 8pm) that’s then 6 hours awake! Then likely overtired and another early wake 🙈🙈🙈

Anyone had the same experience?? Helppp. Finding this nap transition the hardest one so far!

Try and do 9ish nap but just for 10 mins. Be really strict with this. Should tide him over and he should then still go down at 12ish. Commit to this for a few weeks and hopefully his lunch nap should stretch then early mornings should become later. Then in about a month try drop the 10 mins nap. My ds is on 1 nap and I did this, the nursery also sometimes do the 10 min nap if he is overtired for whatever reason.

Also with the nap transition, if you find he is v tired in the eve bring his bedtime forward between 7-8.

@Mintearo7 I’m finding this transition especially hard because of nursery as he doesn’t reliably go to sleep at the times I would normally put him down. And at nursery, he only sleeps for 30 mins each nap so when first moving to one nap, it’s possible he’ll only have 30 mins all day!
