What am I doing wrong?

My 18 month old wakes up at least every hour. I'm about to have a baby. My DH has been exclusively looking after the toddler but he's wrecked and he has GAD.

We lost 5 members of our extended family in one go just after my toddler turned one so we were in survival mode which meant night feeds (cows milk from a bottle) lingered on until fairly recently.

Now he's off the milk and eats well during the day. He takes a cup of water to bed and demands it through the night. He can't be thirsty though - his nappy is leaking by morning!

His room is dark and cool. He puts himself to sleep fine. Sometimes there's a teeny bit of crying but we just sing to him.

Any ideas?!

I’d be reducing the amount of water in the cup and when it’s gone, it’s gone.
