Help. 12 mo doesn't sleep.

My 12mo is delightful, but a shit sleeper. Coming off the back of two older siblings who are also shit sleepers, you think I'd've learnt by now...

Is there anything anyone can suggest? I think she doesn't need that much sleep, as when she's awake, even when she hasn't napped much, she's pretty cheerful. I don't mind the day time so much, but would love a bit of evening sleep. Currently trying to get her to sleep, it's 9:30pm. She went to sleep for about half an hour at 7, then been awake and chatty since 7:30. Day looks like this:

7:00 awake (or sometimes 6, I try and keep her going til 7
11:00 nap, either in pram or car. This sometimes lasts a couple of hours, sometimes 45 mins.
7:00 bed, then often wakes multiple times in the evening, sometimes sleeps, seems completely random.

She's teething, though has been for months.

If you read this far, thanks, and can you suggest any bright ideas, or just give me a reassuring pat on the shoulder. Haven't slept properly in 5 years, so not really feeling like the smartest cookie...

This sounds exactly like mine, nearly 12 months. She's pretty cheerful on very little sleep and it baffles me. Dropped down to one nap at about 10 months, which can be anything from 40 mins to 2 hours. Very much prefers to be close and we end up co-sleeping every night. Can wake up multiple times in the evening, but some evenings bizarrely doesn't. Wakes up multiple times overnight without fail.

I remember my eldest started sleeping through a lot more at about 18 months.

I must admit I do struggle feeling a bit of a failure in the sleep department - no guaranteed nice long lunchtime snooze, and an evening with no wake ups still feels a long way off. I'm sure it will pass. Clearly I'm in no position to be handing out advice but solidarity in droves.
