Second half of night very unsettled - 3 month old

Hi all, does anyone have any experience with unsettled baby in second half of night?

3 month old baby (breastfed) has always been a terrible sleeper all round day and night, never longer than 2 ish hours, and I thought would improve by 12 weeks but it hasn’t. My real problem is the second half of the night, I basically don’t sleep a wink (ok maybe the odd 15 minutes!) from 12/1am onwards because from this time the wakes can be every 30 minutes, it takes much longer to settle him back down and (this is the real kicker) when he is asleep in his cot he is so NOISY grunting and moaning etc. Throw a toddler into the mix who gets me up at least once per night. In general I sleep 3-4 broken hours a night and don’t know how much longer I can survive, I already go to bed as early as possible and get husband to do one wake with a bottle (so I sleep roughly 9-12) so not sure what else I can practically do to get more sleep. I also use a dummy at desperate times but doesn’t overly help as he drops it and cries every 15 mins.
I doubt there’s anything I can “do” to change it as he’s so little, and it’s not like we have a daytime nap routine yet to toy with. But I’m looking for any success stories please of similar experiences and baby growing out of it!
thanks

Hey - I can help you, I'm currently studying to be a pediatric sleep consultant and am looking for people who are struggling with children's sleep to be a part of my study and towards my qualification, all help is free of charge as I need 3 cases under my wing.

Did things improve for you? My ten week old is the same… hoping it’ll pass!
