Cot bed bumper.

So our son just over three months is due to move into his cot from Moses basket, we’ve bought a mamas and papas collection, but now noticed they don’t seem to sell the cot bumper sets? Do they tend to be a universal size? Or will I need to get a precise size? Any suggestions where they have them in stock to look at? His nursery is Dumbo themed so would like to get a matching set. Thanks all.

Cot bumpers are not recommended as they are a SIDS risk

They’re also a strangulation risk. Don’t buy a cot bumper. They are totally unnecessary.

Cot bumpers are dangerous. Implicated as risk factors for both sudden unexpected death in infants and strangulation.

Thank you for your responses, I wasn’t aware of the risks, with reputable companies selling them I presumed they were safe, with having one on the Moses basked. We will give it a miss and thankfully I asked the advice here before hand. He’s just thrashing around in his cot, and we didn’t want him to bang his head. Thanks again all.

It's actually a pity OP as the companies don't care. A midwife I knew emailed a big chain when she saw them selling a known dangerous product, the owner of this chain came back and said it wasn't his job to educate people. Quite disgusting really.
