Struggling to sleep because of constant wind

i have a 3 week old DS who until two days ago was amazing with sleep, literally fed him and he would sleep for hours anywhere we put him.

suddenly about two days ago he has become so fussy, doesn’t want to be put down at all and as soon as he is he cries and is very unsettled. It seems to be because of trapped wind, if he isn’t asleep on me or DH he is constantly pushing to get wind out (and he does manage to also with the help of our massages). He isn’t constipated and exclusively BF.

does anyone have any tips or ideas why this could have so suddenly happened? Would a dummy help or gripe water or something?
