8 month old sleeping terribly/Ann Caird?

Hi,

I am desperately looking for help and advice on our little one’s sleep. I know there has also been quite a few threads on Ann Caird on here but I was looking for anyone that has recently worked with her and their experiences. (good or bad)

I am a FTM of an 8 month old. Her sleep has been absolutely terrible since she turned 6 months (I get there’s the whole changes with weaning, teething, developments, regressions etc.) however, prior to this, she was a great sleeper, so much so that we even avoided the 4 month regression. We have tried everything and are truly at wits end with what to do. She absolutely hates her cot and seems to wake every hour or so crying. We even tried Ferber/CIO but this didn’t seem to work as her cries varied in intensity and either tailed off or she grew more upset and refused to doze off after 90 mins.

We have consulted Ann Caird and are trying her method but have started this properly yesterday. The first part is establishing foundations and then the second part which will be to help her settle in her cot. as per her advice, we have been putting her down at 7.30, but she will wake an hour after and then will have to be rocked to sleep. Just wondering if anyone else has worked with Ann and whether they had a successful outcome and how long it took?

Along with this, did anyone’s child just miraculously get it one day and just sleep with minimal wakings?

Any help and advice would be massively appreciated.
