Really struggling with 1 year old

My first child recently turned one and I'm really struggling. I returned to work a few weeks ago and parenting is harder than ever. I really enjoyed my maternity leave even though she was a pretty demanding baby who never slept great. But since returning to work it's a whole new level, she's waking every 40mins if she does sleep. Last night it was almost 4am before she slept.

She has started creche but to be honest has barely been there as she's had a few illnesses like sinus infection, conjunctivitis etc so had been unable to attend. I understand this upheaval and the illnesses will be contributing but I'm at my wits end. I'm not sleeping and juggling a full time job with trying to keep the house running. My husband helps a lot but he's burnt out too.

She had finally started to sleep a little better before all this, spending most of the night in her cot ant maybe waking just once. But now she only wants to be in the bed with us and loses her mind if she can't feel my hand on her in the cot.

Has anybody got any tips or advice? Anyone have success with sleep training at this age? I feel like she'll never sleep well in her cot again or ever be able to self settle. I'm an emotional wreck and just want to be able to enjoy my beautiful girl
