Isn't it miserable when it's 8am and it feels like 10pm?

Oh Colditz - I hate that feeling so much....all you want to do is crawl UNDER your bed and hide.

Tough night?

I was woken at 5.30 by lots of chatter from the cot and a rather distinctive smell but i also got a lovely big smile when i picked him up to be honest though i would've stuck his dummy back in and tried to get more sleep if he hadn't just done the world's biggest poo!

So nice to hear that we are not the only family that are going through the waking early problem!!! My DS use to sleep for 12 to 13 hours a nite but over the last month has started waking early (anything from 4.30am!). We have DD who is 5 years old and a fairly light sleeper so I am constantly listening for DS thro the night and fly out of bed as soon as DS makes a sound!!! Normally I end up in the spare bed with DS just to try and grab some extra sleep. I know I shouldn't do this but DD started school this year and needs her sleep. I have read on another thread that trying to shorten or push back morning nap to encourage longer nap at lunch time. Going to give it a go but any other suggestions gratefully received. Thanks
