Hello everyone
I'm new to this self settling malarkey so please be gentle!
I have a 7 month old. Every time she naps or sleeps, we hold her and rock her to sleep. We decided to try out the "shush pat" method to help her sleep independently.
Just not sure if I'm doing it right, or is it even effective?!
We normally rock her to sleep and then put her down. But now when we put her down, she's laughing and kicking her legs around and decides to babble (even though she is actually tired and was half asleep on the bottle). I then start shush patting but she's playing around and finds it funny ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚ eventually she falls asleep but of course this takes a long time.
Are we doing this right? Also she's not into comforters. She doesn't like any teddies!
Thank you
