My little boy is 12 weeks old and naps are rubbish but sometimes he will try to nap for like 3 hours at like 4pm which is obviously unideal so close to bedtime but if i wake him he’s hysterical as he’s so tired from having catnaps all day, is there anything i can do about this? should i not be waking him? i feel bad waking him up but ideally he would do the big nap in the middle of the day and then the catnaps closer to bedtime (which he does sometimes do but not often)

Although you feel bad when waking up your son, you should wake him up. You should build a nap routine for him. You can play with him to prevent him from sleeping in the afternoon.
