How do I tell if my baby is awake (8mo)

This is stupid I know, but my baby has a habit of falling asleep on her stomach and facing away from the monitor. She also has a habit of just lying completely still and silent when she wakes up. She does this for overnight sleep and naps. I'll walk in and she will have pushed up ready to meet me!

I worry that I'm leaving her awake in her cot for too long but I just don't know when she wakes up!

Any tips for working it out?

If your baby wants to get up, they will be vocal

If a baby is happy chilling alone in a safe place like a crib, then let it ride until they arent.

She’ll shout or cry if she needs you, don’t worry about it

It won’t do her any harm to be awake and alone in her cot. If she didn’t like it she’d soon let you know! Enjoy the extra peace and quiet 😂

This. Your baby may just like chilling.

If she’s happy lying in her cot chilling or chatting to herself, take advantage of it. She’ll let you know if it’s a problem.
