Night terror in 15 month old?

Guys my little one has been having these episodes for a few months now like 1 every few weeks not consistently

He will be asleep and then all i hear is a screeching scream and he doesn't stop
His eyes are closed and he is back bending and wriggling and the more i try i calm him the more he screams at the top of his lungs

I put on a light and sometimes that stops him and other times it does nothing

He will eventually go back to sleep with weird breaths kinda like hiccups

It is so scary to go through this and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this kind of issue at this age?

If so have u noticed any trends that seem to trigger it ?

Online is mostly for toddlers and kids from 3
Just need a bit of reassurance that my kid is ok and im not alone on this

My son had them from about 2-5. He had a lot going at that time so was quite stressed. But strangely we worked out that the night terrors were really linked to needing a pee in the night. Once we realised that they faded and stopped. As soon as the night terror started we would try to get him to go for a wee and it stopped it escalating into a full blown night terror. Also we worked on him going for a good pee before bed. Its really scarey to witness so you have my sympathy.

Might be toothache or worse earache
