Taking sides off cot or moving to a bed

What age did you take the sides of your little one's cot or move them to a bed?

My almost 3 year old is still in his cot and sleeps well, he's even stopped trying to climb out altogether since we got his a pillow. I keep feeling tempted to take the sides of his cot now but then I'm not sure I want to risk disturbing his good sleeping.

Mine were in a single bed with roll out bar at 2.

About 2.

But if it ain't broke don't fix it. If he sleeps well and is happy then don't rock the boat.

I moved DD to a bed at about 2 years, 3 months. But that was because I didn't want to have to buy another cot and her sister was about to outgrow the Moses basket. If it hadn't been for that, she'd have probably stayed in there longer.

Having said that, she was fine, it didn't disrupt her sleep at all. I find I'm often concerned that something will disturb her sleep and then it happens and there's no issue at all!
