3 year old woke up screaming his Willy hurt

Hello,

Our nearly 3 year old has been to the toilet for a wee several times today. It doesn't smell, doesn't hurt him to pee, and isn't dark coloured like a UTI. But I would say the amount of times he has been is a bit more than he usually would and he hasn't drunk any more or less.
He also has no temperature and hasn't seemed unsettled at all today.
He just woke up after being aero for three hours and was screaming in pain shaking. and when I asked where it hurt, he held his Willy and balls and was bellowing. He then had a wee and calmed down . What could this be?
Any advice please. Thankyou! Xx

Is it possible his penis is growing and his foreskin isn't stretching enough to accommodate? Both my partner and his father had this issue. It does have a medical term but the name escapes me at the moment. I'm watching out for it with my DS 4 months. I think my partner was circumcised when he was 2 and MIL said he was also screaming in pain holding his bits before he had the procedure.

May not be as I'm sure having a wee wouldn't get rid of the pain but worth ruling out. I don't think it's common per se but definitely not unusual.
