My 11 month old has suddenly started sitting up and crawling about in her sleep. I'm obviously quite worried about her taking out of bed or climbing over me to DH who is a roller and a deep sleeper.
My side of the bed is against her cot, that she sleeps in until first wake up. She could technically fall out of the foot of the bed, although she'd have to crawl past me to get that far.
We're still breastfeeding 1-2 times a night.
What did people in this position do? I could try getting her to sleep in her cot through the night, although I worry we might all get less sleep. She could go in the cot in her own room, although that might be worse. I feel like I'd miss her too if she's not next to me. She's still little and we may only have one baby. Husband wants her in her own room in the cot, but then it'll end up being me sitting in the chair in there when she won't sleep! I could put a single mattress on the floor in her room and we both sleep on that, although I'm worried a single would be a bit small given she likes to sleep at a right angle to me these days. We could buy a double mattress, but then it starts to be an expense for something that might not work.
What worked well for you in this situation? Will she stop with the sleep crawling soon?
