To let baby sleep through?

Hi all

Looking for some advice on baby sleep. My 8 week old has always been a good sleeper - she will go to bed between 10-11pm and would generally wake for a feed at around 3am and 5/6am.

This week though we've had two days where she's slept all the way through to 6am - a good 7/8 hour stretch. She's an active sleeper so does make a fair amount of noise earlier than that (grunting, legs wiggling, the odd whimper) but every time I check her she is asleep and I don't want to wake her unnecessarily.

She is putting on weight steadily (despite some feeding difficulties initially), plenty of wet nappies, very alert and smiley in the day. Should I just count my lucky stars she's sleeping through for now (I'm under no illusion it will continue!) or do I need to change tactics and wake her?

Thanks

Nope its totally fine. Mine started doing an 11pm-7am stretch at about 8 weeks.

I wouldn’t

Definitely let her sleep. If she is gaining weight and feeding plenty in the day, then leave her to it and try to get some sleep yourself between grunts!

So long as there are no health or weight gain issues, you can leave her. Mine started sleeping 11-6ish at about the same age (not every night, of course!)

She'll be eating enough in the day to keep her going at night.

Adding context to my previous post. We had a great couple of weeks around 8 weeks where DS did 8-4 then back down until 6/7. It didn't last long sadly, but was great whilst it did.

Is she feeding well during the day? Weight gain on track? Plenty of nappy output? If yes then let her sleep and enjoy the rest - both of mine were the same at that age!

there’s another post about this. If baby is sleeping then they aren’t hungry. Make the most of it and enjoy it.

Thanks all!
