So our 4 month old baby girl woke from her nap this morning, and my husband found her turned onto her tummy 🙈 and she was quite distressed from it. what happens if she does this in the night? It's considered unsafe for the first year, right? I'm panicking that she's starting to move 🙈 sorry if I sound stupid! First time mother just wanting some re assurance on what to do!

Okay brilliant thank you very much for the advice! Yes she has a firm mattress and she is always placed down on her back. Let's just hope she stays on her back tonight 🙈🤣

You don't need to worry. Once they're strong enough to roll, they're strong enough to lift their heads and turn their faces to the side so that they can breathe. Like PP said you can gently roll her over if you want.

As long as you don't swaddle and she has a safe sleeping place it's fine to leave her if she rolls onto her tummy herself and is sleeping
