Sleeping through the night

I might appear a little mad for questioning this but here goes.....

My 12 week old is sleeping through the night from 7.30pm till 7am, without a dream feed. This is amazing, however today I was wondering whether this was too good to be true. Has anyone else had this? For some reason I am questioning whether this ok or not.

She is a big baby at 15lb 6oz and feeds regularly, every 3 hours during the day.

Thanks

enjoy it while it lasts
It might all change at 6 months or so when she starts teething
But really it is nothing to worry about. My dd was doing similar at that age. Ds was another matter

If she's thriving, sounds fine to me. Some babies just do this. My DD did. DS, however, was an utter shock to the system!

It's more of an issue for very new babies I think.

For a minute there I wondered why on earth custardo was posting in the sleep topic!

There is a Mumsnetter called custardo you see, you want to be careful you don't get confused there!

I think, at 3 months old, this is fine. She is obviously getting everything she needs and you should make the most of it. Be prepared for her to have night feeds during growth spurts - this is when it could get into a habit - so for now just make the most of your quiet nights and don't worry.

Hope it lasts ! ds was like this, slept through from 7 weeks, I was stunned - but it all went wrong at 3 mo when teething kicked in, and then he was a nightmare, constant waking until two teeth appeared at 6 mo.
Now bless him he is 9 mo, with 7 teeth and sleeps right through 6pm to 7am normally. Bless him again.

my dd did it at 3 months too and has slept through every night from 3 months to nearly 8 months now. Even weaning and colds haven't stopped her. Mind you she fights sleep with every inch of her being during the day. Now I'm frightened to have a second in case fate is waiting with an all-night-screaming bay to slap me round the chops with. Enjoy it however long it lasts

enjoy-dont complain!!!dd and ds1 were bad sleepers so when ds2 came and slept i was sure something must be wrong!but at around 8 months he stopped!
