A problem I’m not sure how to solve

Dd is almost 10 weeks old and a reasonable sleeper. She will go from 10/10.30 till 1.30/2 when she then needs to fed or a nappy change. Afterwards she can sleep till 6/7am if she isn’t bothered by wind (which she is quite regularly but usually she squirms about her crib and some white noise and the dummy help)

My problem is my sleep. When I wake up at 2 my body thinks I’m up for the day and will not let me get back over. My husband cannot help with the night feeds as he works 4-4, he does the bed time routine so I can go up early to sleep but I’ve always been a poor sleeper and it takes around 45 minutes to an hour for me to fallover. DD will only nap for that long during the day so I can’t even catch up then.

it’s becoming a bit soul destroying with everyone including the baby snoozing and I’m up with no chance of going back to sleep, and obviously can’t take anything to help me sleep as I wouldn’t hear her during the night. Just needed a moan or any solutions on tricking your body back to bed

Have you talked to your GP? I had similar problem and started taking zopiclone, which is a short acting sleeping pill and you can take while breast feeding. I never had a problem hearing baby and it'll break the insomnia cycle.
