2.5yr wakes in morning shouting - help!!

Wondering if anyone has been in the same situation as us - our 2.5yr old daughter has for the past few weeks woken up SHOUTING for us / to get up in the morning.

She has generally been a beautiful sleeper (bar sickness), however, lately she’s started waking up nearer 6am than 7am (she’s usually a 7/7.30-7/7.30 little Angel) and then shouting reallllly loudly until we go in

Have tried to let her know it’s not time to wake up yet etc - doesn’t work, she’s too ‘toddler’ and headstrong at this age. It just escalates more. Occasionally we can leave her and she falls back asleep, but very rarely.

ive reduced her day naps to 1.5hrs but wondering if need to reduce further and her sleep needs have just suddenly changed - could she just be done with sleep and ready to wake up?? If so, maybe we need a later bedtime? Currently 7-7.30ish

Hoping someone has experienced similar sudden change and has some advice for this desperate mumma! My marriage feels like it’s on the rocks as it’s SO STRESSFUL when these toddlers are so demanding and head strong - and loud !!

I would say that she's just in summer time, 6am would've been a lie for us tbh. You could try a Gro clock to keep her in bed until 6.30 but I think you're pushing your luck any later.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

As the mother of a 2.5 year old who wakes at 420 this has given me a good chuckle. You have no idea how lucky you are!

I'd just go and grab her and have a cuddle with her? Surely she will stop as soon as you go in?

Sorry totally get how lucky I am with her sleep!! Her room is blackout so def not waking due to any light etc.

It’s more the loud shouting in the early hours that’s new for us, and if it’s ‘normal’/ anything anyone has done to eradicate that bit 💆‍♀️
