DD has got up at 5am AGAIN this morning and have lost temper today and banged bathroom mirror and cracked it. Feeling terrible for losing it. Only saving grace is that she was in another room and did not see it. Worried dh will think I am a mad woman when he gets us!! Probably right.

How old is your DD?

You're not mad, just tired. That's enough to send you mad though I think.

If your dh thinks you are a mad woman, make him get up tomorrow at 5am.

Good point. Think he actually knew I was about to pop and decided to ignore it and sleep. Was his turn for a lie in but I had to sleep with dd (20mths) all night as v unsettled so you would have thought he might have got up. Dd unscathed by mummy losing it. At least I locked myself in bathroom so she could not see. I came out smiling!!! Mirror is knackered though.. Oops

I'm worse. Spent most of Sunday in a foul mood because got 4 hours sleep before DS (6.5 months) decided to get up for good at 5.30am. Wanted to cry as so tired, didn't like DS much.

Then felt guilty for feeling that way. Had always planned two kids, but DH not keen on idea and now thinking maybe I shouldn't as am bad hopeless mummy when it comes to losing sleep.

I am sure you are not a bad mum, but lack of sleep does very strange things to you. My dd has slept the last 2 nights and got up at 6 and has made the world of difference. Although mirror is still cracked!
