DD won’t sleep longer than 30 mins

My daughter is 6 month old so I have transitioned her to her own room. I thought she may grow out of it but ever since she was born she pretty much only sleeps 30mins at a time. Whether its at night or day nap. She’s fairly easy to settle majority of the time. When she was younger I ended up bringing her into my bed which Iv always been very against but I was falling asleep whilst feeding her and it was becoming so dangerous. I know some people are against bed sharing and Iv done it following the lullaby trust. But it was a very last resort for me and that is the only way she would sleep more than 30 min but even then she could be awake every 45-30 min. Has anyone been through something similar and managed to turn it around? I’m feeling kind of hopeless and like a bad mum. The one thing I won’t do is cry it out though.

Kathryn Stagg and Sarah Ockwell Smith have loads of advice on normal baby sleep. Safely co-sleeping is a great idea and you can work at transitions again when she is older. Six months is still really little and doesn't work for many babies. With one of mine I waited until 18 months to move into own room and that was right for us as suddenly baby started doing four hour stretches.

@Flittingaboutagain thats might be worth trying again then later down the line. I just find a lot of people particularly grandparents make me feel bad for bed sharing
