5 mo started waking crying hysterically every hour of night

My 5mo has never been a good sleeper and often woke every 2 hours however the last 4 nights he was woken hourly at night screaming hysterically and is completely inconsolable. The only way he stops crying is by feeding however he can't be hungry every time he wakes as it's genuinely anytime between 45-60 mins since he last woke and fed.

He always used to wake a lot but never crying, more moving around and eventually whimpering until we'd resettle him / never this screaming and crying.

Any ideas what this could be? Getting quite concerned. Thought it may be teething but no signs of sore or swollen gums or any teeth.

Hey - has he just started these wakes? It sounds similar to the 4 month sleep regression, so could just be delayed?

Is he BF? It's rarely about hunger. I would just give him the comfort that he needs TBH. Sorry it's a tough phase Flowers

Wind? Give gripe water a try and or moving babies legs on a cycling motion

White noise/pink noise/heartbeat etc

Too hot or too cold?

If you swaddle is baby big enough for a sleep sack or visa versa ?

Sounds like the 4 month sleep regression where he needs to be fed through each sleep cycle.
