For your 11 week old?

Or is there no such thing as routine this young?!

11 weeks??! It was total lovely chaos.

@carriedout what a beautiful yet accurate way to describe it!

I think you can try to have a loose routine for yourself e.g. eat, shower, walk but on the most flexible timeframes. This helped keep me sane but it was really not strict!

My 10 week old generally has 4 naps a day, usually one long one around lunchtime and 3 shorter ones after around 1hr30 awake time. She feeds around every 3hrs. I don't go by set times but she's falling into a pattern.
I didn't have any routine at this point with my first, I think we've fallen more into one this time due to having an older child!

At 11 weeks we started using huckleberry. I discovered the beauty of wake windows. Started giving her 4 planned nap times. We were still exhausted but got a lot more sleep and life was far less chaotic.

This is a brutal routine (for them) but it works. Please try it!

Wake them at 7am, feed them. If they're not hungry, don't feed them again until 10am. Then 1pm, 4 and 7 feed times and don't give in if they're hungry in between. 4 days later they're in a 3 hour routine and it's great. Good luck!

Thank you all for your replies!

Strangely enough since I wrote this thread on Monday, we've actually fallen into a pretty nice routine since my eldest now has increased days at pre-school. Naturally, his sleeps and feeds have been at the same times each day and he's doing a decent chunk of sleep from 10.30/11pm to 5.30am each night 😊 have been a bit more lax with things tonight as it's Saturday and we got to sleep in a bit this morning! But otherwise I feel like we have had more structure this week which has been nice. Let's see how long it lasts as we all know babies like to keep us on our toes 😂
