Sleeping hell.

Hi all.

I have a 5mo who was a great sleeper as a newborn. Then the regression hit and I feel like it's only getting worse. She is EBF despite countless attempts to introduce a bottle :(

Current situation: won't nap for longer than 10-30 mins unless on me/boob in mouth. Night sleep used to be ok but now will wake 90 mins after going down and will only settle with boob. We are cosleeping now which I'm fine with.

Here's my issue. Someone told me this happens because my milk is not filling enough. She's peeing and pooping and gaining weight but I can't help but worry that she needs more? I've tried and tried formula but she just will not take it .

Please someone tell me if there's any truth to this? My eldest was combi fed and was still a shit sleeper until 18 months but the anxiety surrounding baby being hungry is sending me over the edge.

Hi - didn't want to read and run!

I have a 12mo DS, still breastfeeding - still having shit nights sleep 🤣

Essentially breast milk is easier for them to digest so does not have the "fuller for longer" affect, rest assured your baby is getting full, always look out for the nappies! It's actually very rare for humans not to produce enough milk.

I found Olivia Hinge on instagram to be an amazing resource - she's a midwife and a lactation consultant.

I have friends with formula babies that also have shit sleep so it proves formula doesn't mean a baby sleeps!

I hope this helps 😊
