Is this the 12 month sleep regression?

For the past few nights my DS (nearly 13months) has been waking up at around 2:30 - 3.00am, just sitting up crying which eventually turns into screaming. We try his usual go in, lay him down, give his dummy put on white noise but his usual go to soothers are just not settling. We are finding that the only way he goes back to sleep is in our bed which we don't want to encourage and we end up moving him back to his cot around 5am when he has finally gotten back into a deep sleep but it is draining, he was such a good sleeper before (we have been lucky) I am hoping this is just a regression phase 🙏

My ds had a regression around this age. I think it was linked to teething molars and learning to walk. But what also helped was capping his first nap to 45 mins as he was getting too much day time sleep. Hope you find something that helps!

I will give anything a try, he can nap for 1-1.5 hours sometimes. Thank you

It’s around the typical age to drop a nap, if he’s still sleeping in the morning then it might be worth trying without it and seeing how you go.

This was a sign our daughter needed to drop her morning nap when this happened to us around a year.
