How to gently sleep train by baby with ds3 at home?

When ds3 was around 7 months I gently sleep trained him for his day naps and it was really effective. Patting and shushing to help him to sleep, not leaving him to cry on his own etc. It worked for us.

Now we have another baby, and I remember how long it took to get ds to sleep then, so how do I do it with ds3 coming in and interrupting etc? He's too little to leave alone for long periods, and if he needs me to wipe his bum or help him with something he will shout and make a fuss.

Any ideas? Baby is a really terrible sleeper, she's almost 5m and we are cosleeping to get through it until I can sleep train.

Thanks
