9m old having to restrain to sleep

I sleep trained my baby at 6m using controlled crying and she slept great for about a month and a half. Needed help to get to sleep but once down if she woke up she would pop her dummy back in, self soothe and sleep through the night.

At around 8m something just switched and she decided to refuse to sleep in her crib longer than about 30m. Which ultimately meant I went back to co-sleeping. She does sleep ok with me but the problem I have is she won’t stay still and fall asleep unless I rock her or restrain her. Right now she was almost asleep next to me, then suddenly she decides to stand up and start banging on my headboard. Other occasions she will just sit up and start trying to crawl. This is when she’s initially being put down but also when she’s relaxed and very close to a deep sleep. I don’t understand it. I am having to hold my arms around her and try relax her as I feel her trying her hardest to get up. She could be exhausted but she will still insist on doing this. It’s driving me nuts because I could be holding her hands and shushing for 30m, she will be asleep, I let go then she will decide to stand up. How do I tackle this?
