So you put your head down to sleep, close your eyes and start ‘dreaming’ / having weird dreamlike thoughts before you’ve even fallen asleep… please tell me I’m not alone! 🙈

That’s when my imaginary life kicks in.
The one where I’m still pretty young, I am physically fit, confident, funny, have loads of energy & friends, money, clothes, have gorgeous hair and I am basically living the life I wish I had 😂

I love these. When I wake back up I realise I’ve only been asleep for perhaps 2 minutes, but in my dream world, I went on a mega holiday and all sorts of crazy things happened.

Dreamaway172 · 27/03/2023 23:01

@MellowMelly YES! Feels like I’ve been asleep for 2 hours but only 5 minutes have passed! 😅

They are called hypnagogic dreams where you are properly dreaming as you aren't fully asleep. You can also have hypnapompic dreams as you wake up.

@TobiasForgesContactLense I am off to google this! Thank you!

@Dreamaway172 enjoy your hypnagogic dreams!
